Almonds are a great source of plant-based protein as well as fiber and Vitamin E. They also contain several important minerals such as manganese, copper, magnesium and phosphorus and are low in carbohydrates while being high in unsaturated fats. Additionally, the consumption of almonds has been associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
