Homemade Almond Butter
We can't get enough of freshly made almond butter. Really...it tends to evaporate in our kitchen. On toast, celery or apples our almond butter adds nutrition and flavor for an easy on-the-go snack!
Almonds are a great source of plant-based protein as well as fiber and Vitamin E. They also contain several important minerals such as manganese, copper, magnesium and phosphorus and are low in carbohydrates while being high in unsaturated fats. Additionally, the consumption of almonds has been associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.

Makes 2 cups
Gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, egg-free, and no processed sugar.
4 cups organic almonds
1 t sea salt
Special equipment: high speed food processor
1. Add almonds and sea salt to food processor.
2. Blend on high for up to 10 minutes scraping down sides as you go. Be patient, depending on the power of your food processor blending until creamy may take a while.
3. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator.
