Cranberry Ginger Smoothie

Guard yourself this flu season with this refreshing and immune boosting smoothie. Cranberries are packed with the antioxidant, proanthocyanidins, as well as vitamin C and fiber, so while these bright red berries are supporting your immune system they also help feed your good gut bacteria. Bok choy bumps the nutritional value as well because of its high concentration of vitamins and minerals. Just in time for February 14th, the lovely pink hue will delight your Valentine. Breakfast in bed anyone?


Serves 2

No soy, gluten, dairy, processed sugar or egg


1 cup cranberries, fresh or frozen
1 ripe banana
2-3 small heads of bok choy
1 orange, peeled
½ inch piece fresh ginger root (+/- to your taste)
1 cup nut milk
1 cup ice cubes
2 T flax seeds, optional

Optional toppings: nuts, chia seed, hemp seed, granola, coconut flakes, cacao nibs


  1. Place smoothie ingredients in a high speed blender and mix on high until smooth.

  2. Pour into glasses and drink as is or top with your favorite additions.
